Department of Computer Science

The Computer Department is running one UG course, B.E. (Computer Science and Engineering) & and one PG Course ME (Comp Sc. & Engg). The B.E in Computer Science and engineering is NBA accredited. The department is having highly qualified and experienced faculties with one Professor, two Readers and about 16 Lecturers. There are number of research publications by the faculties and students in National and International Journals and conferences . Department is having well equipped computer labs with advanced and highly configured computer system and latest licensed software. The students are encouraged and motivated to fully utilize the time and the resources collectively.

The institute is tied up with the various well known multinational software companies also. Department has won the prize for maximum registration in Lord of Code Contest 2006 organized by Red Hat and IIT, Bombay and also students have won many individual prizes in 2006 & 2007 in the same contest. Various training programs, certifications and seminars are also conducted time to time for the overall development and updation with the latest trend and technologies. The result of department is always 100%. The students are getting success in competitive exams for higher studies like GRE, CAT and GATE. Students are getting placements in top ranking IT companies like- TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, HUGES, SYNTEL, PERSISTENT, HEXAWARE, ZENSAR, IMPETUS and many more. The institute has been given the privilege to start IBM center of excellence as it has signed MOU with IBM under IBM Academic Initiative Program. Under this, the faculties of institute will be given training on IBM products by IBM professionals through workshops & FDP and then the faculty will be authorized to give training in the other institutes of M.P. In addition, institute will work as nodal center of IBM to conduct Thomson Prometric certification , DB2 & RAD certification for students & faculty of institution in M.P. Also Institute is the center of The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC-2008) contest for Indore region.

Department has organized national level event with IT and MCA department "InGenious 2008" comprising of seven events with participation of about 3500 students from all over the country. The students of the department have won many prizes at intra-college and inter-college level in sports, cultural and literary activities. The students are given exposure to social service also. "Prayatna" is a group of students, working for computer literacy in rural areas. They are regularly visiting to the nearby villages and making people aware of computers.
