Department of Information Technology

The department is having highly qualified and experienced faculties one Reader and about Lecturers, specialized in their relative areas like Software Engineering, Operating system, Neural Network, Computer Networks, Database etc. There are number of research publications by the faculties and students in National and International Journals. Department is having twenty Computer Labs equipped with about 400 advanced and highly configured Computer System and latest licensed software. The ratio of student to computer is 1:1. The students are encouraged and motivated to fully utilize the time and the resources collectively.

The institute is tied up with the various well known multinational Software Companies also. Various training programs, certifications and seminars are also conducted from time to time for the overall development and updating with the latest trend and technologies going on in the market. The result of department is always 100%. The students are getting success in competitive exams for higher studies like GRE, CAT and GATE. Students are getting placements in top ranking IT companies.

Institute has signed MOU with IBM for Academic Initiative program under this time to time department organized training on DB2,Tivoli ,RAD etc for internal students/faculty and students/Faculty from the other institute. Institute has been given the privilege to start IBM center of excellence. Well equipped labs with high configuration IBM machines, world class software such as RAD, Rational products, DB2, Tivoli, Lotus etc. will be provided by IBM to the institute. Under this, the faculties of institute will be given training on IBM products by IBM professionals through workshops and FDP and then the faculty will be authorized to give training in the other institutes of M.P. In addition, institute will work as nodal center of IBM to conduct Thomson Prometric certification free of cost, DB2 and RAD certification for students and faculty of institution in M.P. Also Institute is the center of The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC-2008) contest for Indore region. The students of the department have won many prizes at intra-college and inter-college level in sports, cultural and literary activities.
